Grammar: Review past simple 2.Vocabulary: ( n.) freshman, jack, computer bulletin board, impact. ( a.) skeptical. III. Techniques: Jumbled words. Slap the board. IV. Teaching aids: cassette, cardboards . V. Procedures: Teacher’s & students’ activities Content - Teacher puts the cardboards on the board. - Teacher divides the class into 2 teams and ask each team to go to the board to write their answers as fast as possible. - Teacher presents new words. - Teacher presents each word. - Teacher reads and writes it on the board. + Students listen, repeat and copy. + Students give the meanings. - Teacher reads. + Students repeat. + Students read chorally and individualy. - Teacher checks new words by using “ Slap the board “. - Teacher introduces the topic of the text. - Teacher asks students to guess what they’re going to read. - Teacher writes the students’ guesses on the board. - Teacher plays the tape for students twice and asks them to listen. + Students listen. + Students read the passages: in silence. In aloud voice. - Teacher asks students to read the paragraph again then read the true or false statements and decide if the statements are true or false. - Teacher calls on some students to give their answers and correct the false statements. - Teacher asks to copy all the right statements in their notebooks. - Teacher asks students to ask and answer the questions on page 147. + Students work in pairs. Several pairs practise asking and answering in front of the class. Then they give their answers on the board. - Teacher remarks and corrects if necessary. -Teacher guides . +Students listen and write . 1.
