someone is from?

- Communication and cooperation
- Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work
- Linguistic competence 
- Using language to talk about where someone is from
3. Quality:
- Humane
- Hardworking
- Responsible 
- Honest
- Ss love their countries.
4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 
5. Vocabulary: Malaysia, England, Australia, Japan, England, America.
6. Grammar point: Where are you from? I’m from ..
B. TEACHING AIDS
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and 
flashcards
2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks..
C. PROCEDURES
*Warm-up: - Listen to a song: Good morning to you. ( page 7) 
 - Play game: BINGO!

*New lesson
- Introduce the new lesson by showing the pictures (Malaysia, England, Australia, 
Japan..) on the projector.
- Teacher tells the class the objects of the lesson. I. Presentation
1.Teach vocabulary:
- Use pictures to introduce the new words (Malaysia, England, Australia, Japan, 
England, America.
- T.checks
2.Dilogue: 
- Set the scene: 
- Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters .
Who are they? Where are they? What are they talking?
T.Introduces the dialogue: They are going to listen to Nam and Akio talking about 
where they are from
- Ask Ss to listen and repeat from twice to three times.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs.
- Call some Ss to roleplay the dialogues in the pictures
- Correct the pronunciation
- Help Ss understand the meaning of the dialogues
- Note Ss some vocabulary and sentence patterns. 
3. Form
Elicit the sentence pattern: 
 - Where are you from? I’m from Japan. 
Form: - Where are you from? 
 I’m from . 
II. Practice
 1. Point and say.
- How many countries are there? What are they? .
- Tell S to call name of the countries in the pictures. Repeat chorally.
 - Tell S imagine they are Hakim/ Tom/ Tony/ Linda/ Akiko. Introduce themselves 
and ask where the partner is from.
- Model and repeat
- Ask Ss to work in pairs. Let time for Ss to work
 S1:Hi, I’m Where are you from?
 S2: Hi, . . I’m .. I’m from ...
- Demonstrate and Give feedback.
- Reinforce the contents of the lesson.
III. Production
Network 
- Teacher uses network to reinforce vocabulary about countries
- Give a real situation: Teacher is showing a picture of a flashcard with Japan 
 and ask students to say.
D. HOME-LINK - Learn new words and structure by heart.
 - Guide to study at home unit 2 lesson 1. Part 3,4,5.
 - Prepare unit 2.lesson 2 : (1- 3).

I. Presentation
1.Teach vocabulary:
- Use pictures to introduce the new words (VietNamese, English, Australian, 
Malaysian, Japanese, America.
- T.checks
2.Dilogue: 
- Set the scene: 
 We are going to ask and answer questions about one’s nationality.
- Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters .
Who are they? Where are they? What are they talking about? Where are they 
from? Then T gives feedback in 3 pictures
- Ask Ss to listen and repeat from twice to three times.
- Ask Ss to work in pair.
- Call some Ss to roleplay the dialogues in the pictures
- Correct the pronunciation
- Help Ss understand the meaning of the dialogues
3. Form

II. Practice
 1. Point and say.
 - Tell S that they are going to practice asking about nationality.
- Have them look at the pictures and identify nationalities.
 - Point to picture a&b and elicit the language to ask.
- Ask them to say chorally and individually.
 - Have S to look at picture c and make question and answer.
 - T gives feedback and S repeat . - Have S to practice in pairs and then demonstrate
 - T comments and corrects pronunciation
2. Let’s talk.
- Tell S that they are going to ask and answer about nationalities.
- T runs through nationalities, have S repeat.
- T asks : What’s your name?
 Where are you from?
 What nationality are you?.
- S answer and T corrects
- Have class goes around and ask friends.
- Have S demonstrate.
- Reinforce the contents of the lesson.
III. Production

 T. devides class in two groups.
