- Devide Ss into small group, give each group one object and ask for Ss to drill.(Use the real their name)
 S1: Happy birthday, Mai.
 S2: How old are you?
 S3: I’m (eight) years old.
 S1+ S2: (give S3 the present)
 This is for your
 S3: (look at the present)
 Wow! a book! Thank you.

Activity 1: Introduce vocabulary
- Point to the calendar to display the word: today
T: poin to the calendar and ask:
What is the September,6th. 
 Yes, it’stoday,today,today
+ Say and write on the board:
 today: h«m nay.
- Point to the clock to teach the word: now
 Now, it’s………o’clock.
+ Say and write on the board: now: b©y giê
Activity 2: Present the possessive pronoun pattern using “my and your”:
- Use the puppet to teach the possessive adj
+ point to ownself and say: my
+ point to the Ss and say: your
+ take the teacher’s ruler and say:
 It’s my ruler
+ take the S’s ruler and say:
 It’s your ruler
- Look at one S and say:
 It’s your birthday today
.
* Practice:
- T guides Ss to practice.
eg: Puppet A: (nh×n xuèng líp vµ nãi): It’s your birthday, today
- Class ( tr¶ lêi ): Yes, It’s my birthday, today
-T gives a gift for one student and says. “It’s your birthday today”
-T asks Ss to practice the pattern in pairs.
Activity 3: Present the subject pronoun pattern using “I’m and you’re
- Draw one cake and seven candles. use the puppet to display:
+ point to ownself and say:
 I’m seven years old
+ puppet: You’re seven years old.
- Ask for Ss to say
- T draws an other cake( vÏ sè nÕn lªn b¸nh) gäi 2 hs luyÖn tËp.

- Play the song: The happy birthday song: 2 times

- Listen and guess the meaning

- Say in chorus:
 It’s your birthday today
- S1 say
 It’s mybirthday today
*Practice:
Puppet A: It’s your birthday, today
Class: Yes, It’s my birthday, today
-Hs chØ vµo hs1 nãi: “It’s your birthday today”
- Hs1 chØ vµo m×nh, nãi : “It’s my birthday today”.
