WEEK 13 Date of planning: 3/12/2021 Date of teaching: 7 /12/2021 REVIEW (LESSON 3 UNIT 1-5) A.OBJECTIVES - Perform their abilities in listening and speaking related to the topics from units 1-5. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: 6. Grammar point: B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette. 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, notebooks C. PROCEDURES I. Warm up: - Have Ss sing the song “ This is the way we do things” II. Revision: 1. Listen and repeat ( page 10) - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying the letters, words and sentences in the book. - Put the phonics ’city, ’mountains, ’tower and ’village.on the board and ask them to read a few times. - Play the recording for Ss to repeat a few times. - Do choral repetition of the words and sentences until ss feel confident. 2. Listen and circle a or b.Then say the sentences (page 16) -Tell pupils that they are going to listen and circle a or b.Then say the sentences. Give ss a few seconds to read the text in silence before starting the dictation. - play the recording for ss to listen and circle - Have pupils swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - T write the correct answers on the board for ss to check. - Get pupils to work in pairs and practise saying the sentences. 3. Listen and repeat ( page 22) - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying the letters, words and sentences in the book. - Put the phonics ’motorbike, ’underground, ’holiday and ’family on the board and ask them to read a few times. - Play the recording for Ss to repeat a few times. - Do choral repetition of the words and sentences until ss feel confident. 4. Mark the word stress. Then say the words aloud ( page 28) - Tell pupils that they are going to listen and mark the word stress .Then say the sentences. Give ss a few seconds to read the text in silence before starting the dictation. - Play the recording for ss to listen and circle - Have pupils swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - T write the correct answers on the board for ss to check. - Get pupils to work in pairs and practise saying the sentences. 5.
