WEEK 12 Date of planning: 26/11/2021 Date of teaching: 30 /11/2021 REVIEW 1 A.OBJECTIVES - Perform their abilities in listening, speaking and writing related to the topics from units 1-5, using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learnt. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening, speaking and writing skills 5. Vocabulary: Review vocabulary from unit 1- 5 6. Grammar point: Review structure from unit 1- 5 B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette. 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, notebooks C. PROCEDURES I. Warm up: Review the model sentences and vocabulary from unit1 to unit 5 II. Revision: 1. Listen and tick - Have pupils look at pictures on page 36 of the Student Book. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. Check their guess. - Play the recording again. T give the answer: - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. 2. Listen and number - Have pupils look at pictures on page 36 of the Student Book. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and number the pictures. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. Check their guess. - Play the recording again. T give the answer: - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. 3. Listen and tick Yes or No - Have pupils look at pictures on page 37 of the Student Book. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. Check their guess. - Play the recording again. T give the answer: - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text 4. Read and circle a or b. - Have Ss read and do the task. - Set the scene: “you are going to read the text and circle a or b” - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Call on some Ss to read their answers. - Correct. 5. Write about you - Ask to look at the sentences on page 37. - Tell to do individually. - Monitor the activity and help if necessary. - Ask Ss to read aloud. - Give comments. D.
