OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Pronounce the sounds of the lettersea-awrespectively. - Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words reading anddrawing. - Say the chant: What are you doing? - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary:Revision 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. 4. Activity 1:Look listen and repeat - Have Ss open their books page 56. - Tell Ss they are going to practice saying the letter, words and sentences in the book. - Produce the sound of the letter ea-aw - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. Activity 2: Task 2: Listen and write - Have Ss open their books to page 56. - Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 and 2. - Listen and check answer. 1.reading 2. drawing - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues. Activity 3: Task 3: Let’s chant What are you doing? - Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class. - Give comments. Activity 4: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? - Read and complete the gapped paragraph, using the picture. Write answer the questions. 2. What’re the core values of the lesson? - Remind students to read the textand write . - Prepare for the next lesson (Unit 18, Lesson 1 .1,2,3 ). D. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1.Identify the situation for the conversation between Mai, Linda and the woman (setting, participants, topics); 2.Ask and answer questions about one's action in progress. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat - Have pupils turn to page 58. - Tell them that they are going to talk about outdoor activities - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and elicit what the characters are saying. - Use a poster to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. - Introduce new word by using pictures: cycling, skating, flying kites, skipping - Ask ss to listen and repeat. - Call ss to read aloud the new words Activity 2: Full controlled &less controlled Task 1: Point and say - Tell ss that they are going to practise saying sentences with: A: What are they doing? B: They are - Ask Ss fill in the speech bubbles. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs asking and answering, using the pictures in Student Book. - Monitor the activity. - Call on a pair to perform Task 2: : Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for ss to look at the pictures. - Elicit the words to fill the gap. - Write the instructions on the board and get ss to repeat them a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs. - Go around the class and help when ss necessary. Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? Ask and answer questions about one's action in progress.
