Lesson 1(Look,listen and repeat,Look and say)
 I. Aims : 
- Ss will be able to ask and answer questions about ages. Hs có thể hỏi và trả lời về tuổi.
 II. Language input: 
- Phonics: how, ten
- Vocabulary: year, old, how, both, number 1 to 20
 - Sentence Patterns: - How old are you?
 I’m nine years old
 - How old is he?
 He’s eight years old.
III. Skills development: Listening, Speaking, Reading, &Writing. 
IV. Resources: recordings,flash cards ,Student book, 3 large pieces of paper for two chants and a song.

I. Warm up: 
- Ask sts to sing the rhyme AHappy family,page 11,unit 11.
-Comment
 II. New lesson.
 1. Look, listen and repeat:
- - Ask sts to open their student’s book on page 12 and look at the picture of Mai and Tom.Tell them that they are going to look at the dialogue ,listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue between Tom and Mai
- - Play the recording through for sts to listen to the dialogue.
- Replay the recording again,pausing after each line for sts to repeat.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation.
- Divide class into two groups.Ask one group to repeat Tom’s part and the other Mai’s part
 2. Look and say
- Ask sts to look at the pictures a,b,c,d on page 12.Tell them to identify the characters and their ages.
 - Ask sts to practise asking and answering question about the ages.
- Tell sts to look at the pictures and say the words 
- Teach the sentence patterns How old are you? and I’m _______ .
- Ask sts to work in pairs to practise 
- Call on some pair s to perform the task.

 I. Aims :

- Ask Ss to write new words. 
- Comment.
II. New lesson.
- 3. Talk:
 - Have sts identify the characters and what they are talking about in the top picture.Tell sts that they are going to practise asking and ansering about ages. - Asks Ss to guess what the characters should say to get the information.Fill the speech bubbles with the correct information of age prompted by the sts.Then have them repeat these sentences a few times beforce letting them practise freely,they can use the pictures they bring to the classroom or the pictures in their books. 
- Make model if necessary.
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
- Ask Ss to talk & others give feedback
- call on a pair to perform at the front of the class
 2. Let’s chant
 - Put the large piece of paper with the chant from page 13 written on it on the board.Tell sts that they are going to chant.Give the meaning of the word once and the sentences I caught a fish alive: Then I let it go again.
 - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and mime the chant
- - Play the recording a second time for sts to repeat each line of the chant and poit to the line in their books.Repeat the step a few times for sts to remember the chant. 
- Call on a group of six to the front of the class.Have three of them repeat each line of the chant.Play the recording once more for pupils to check their answers 
- Call Ss to recite and mime the chant.

- Elicit pupils to talk about the picture on the page 14.
- Tell pupils that they are going to learn how to pronouce some specific souds.Elicit sts to talk about the picture on this page.Focus student’s attention on the letters coloured differenty in both words how and ten .
 - Produce the sound of the letters ow and e a few times. Ask sts to say what they think about when they hear these sounds..Give the meaning of the vocabulary both and the question How about you?Have sts repeat each words after you.
- Put the large piece of paper with the chant written on it on the board.
- Play the recording for sts to listen white they are reading the chant on the board or in their books.Clap the syllables.
- Ask pupils to repeat.
 - Ask Ss to repeat the chant .

 1. Read and tick
- Ask sts to look at the page 15.Ask them to identify the characters and their ages
- Tell sts that they are going to read the sentences to get the information and match each character to his/her age by ticking the correct grid.
 - Read the sentences individually and do the task
- Ask sts to read individually
- Call on some sts to complete the sentences
- Check sts' comprehension
- Ask the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation.
2. Let’s sing: 
- Have sts recall counting from 1 to ten,then teach them to count from 11 to 20.Put the large piece of paper with the rhyme Counting to twenty from page 15 written on it on the board.
- Play the recording for sts to listen and follow the text.
- Replay the recording for sts to repeat each line and point to it in their books.
- Groupwork.Pupil practise saying and miming the rhyme in groups
- Call on one group to recite and mime the chant at the front of the class.The rest of the class clap at rhythms
- Ask sts a few questions to check their comprehension.
