1/ Warm-up: (10’)
* Chatting
- Review some tenses Ss have learnt in grade 7, especially the simple past tense. 
- Ask Ss to talk each other and take notes.
+ How are you today? 
+ Did you have a beautiful summer holiday?
+ Where did you go on the summer holiday?
- Ask and answer with the partner, then take note.
I. Past simple:

- Get Ss to play the game “Slap the board” to review the way making suggestions.

- Divided into 2 teams and play the game with the teacher’s guide.

- Hang the prepared exercise on the board and get Ss to complete the sentences with the correct form of the verbs in the brackets.

 LISTEN AND READ
I. OBJECTIVES: 
After the lesson, students can review:
Simple past tense
(not) adj + enough + to-infinitive

1/ Warm-up: (8’)
- Ask Ss some questions.
1. What do you often do in your free time? 
2. Which sports do you play?
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and talk about activities of these groups of friends.
- Answer about activities in their free time.

2/ Presentation: (13’)
- Show the picture of Hoa and Nien on the board and get Ss to guess the content of the dialogue between Lan and Hoa.
- Supply the new words.

2. receive s.t from s.o (v) = get s.t from s.o (Mime)
3. look like (v): (Example)

- Read the words and sentences.
- Correct mistake(s) in their pronunciation if necessary.
- Get Ss to play the game “Rub out and remember”.
- Look at the picture and guess.
- Guess the meanings of the words with the teacher’s explanation.

3/ Practice: (15’)
$ Activity 1:
- Play the tape two times, and get Ss to practice the dialogue with a partner.
II. Listen and Read:
- Go around the class to check Ss’work and offer help.
- Ask some pairs to read the dialogue aloud.
- Correct mistake(s) in their pronunciation.
$ Activity 2:
- Make sure Ss to understand the content of questions in Exercise 2.
III. Practice:
- Ask Ss to read the dialogue and answer the questions.
- Ask Ss to share the answers with a friend.
- Call on some pairs to show their work.
- Give necessary correction
- Look at the book and listen.
- Practice the dialogue in pairs.
- Practice the dialogue before the class.
- Pay attention and take notes.
- Read the questions silently to understand.
- Read the dialogue and answer.

1/ Warm-up: (6’)
- Divide Ss into three groups to draw a person in one minute.
- Introduce the aim the lesson by using three pictures.
- Play in groups.
- Listen.
2/ Pre-speaking: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at six pictures on page 11, 12 and guess their appearance.
- Describe people’s appearance.
I. Speak:
* Build:

+ thin (a) >< fat (a) + slim (a) = slender (a)

 E.g: Hoa is tall.
* Hair:

- Help Ss understand the guessing game.
- Look at the pictures and guess.
- Pay attention and copy down.
- Practice reading.
- Do as T' guide.
- Listen.
3/ While-speaking: (14’)
* Guessing game
- Hang the pictures of six people (Van, Mr. Lai, Miss Lien, Ann, Mr. Khoi and Mary) on the board.
- Describe one of six people.
 Eg: - This person is tall and rather fat. He has very short black hair. Who is he?
" Yes. He is Mr. Khoi.
- Get Ss to describe to play the game “guessing people” in groups, go around the class to check Ss’work.
- Look at.
- Listen.
- Work in groups.
4/ Post-speaking: (9’)
- Give some ẽpressions to greet and introduce some one.
II. Listen:

It’s a pleasure to meet you
- Instruct Ss to read the expressions.
- Play the tape two times with a small dialogue.
- Correct mistake(s) if necessary by letting Ss listen to each dialogue again and pausing at what is necessary
- Pay attention.
- Read aloud.
- Listen and complete the dialogues.
- Listen again and check the answers
* Key:
