I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to describe places in a city by using prepositions of place.

1. Warm – up: (5’)
- Ask Ss to play game “Rub out & remember”
 Houses and parks,
 Flowers and trees,
 Lakes and rivers,
 We love these.
2. Presentation: (14’)
- Show picture and introduce some new words:
 + drugstore (n)
 + toystore (n)
 + movie theater (n)
 + police station (n)
 + photocopy store (n)
 + bakery (n)
 + between  and (prep)
 + opposite (prep)
- Ask Ss to practice the new words.
- Check vocabulary “Rub out and remember”
- Set the scene: They are talking about their town.
- Give structure:
 +Where is the photocopy store?
 + It is next to the bakery.
 Where is / are the ?
 [ It is  / They are 
3. Practice: (14’)
- Play the tape for Ss 3 times, have Ss listen and repeat.
- Call some Ss to read in front of class.
- Say the model sentences:
 +Where is the bakery? 
 + It is next to the movie theater. 
- Ask Ss to work in pairs. 
 a) bakery d) restaurant 
 b) movie theater e) toystore
 c) police station f) children 
4. Production: (10’)
- Have Ss play a guessing game.
Ex:+ It’s opposite the movie theater. What is it?
+ It’s the police station.
+ Yes. That’s right.
- Ask Ss to practice in pair.
1/ It’s opposite the bakery.
2/ It’s between the bakery and the drugstore.
3/ It’s next to the bakery.
4/ It’s opposite the bookstore.
5/ It’s next to the movie theater. 
- Call some pairs to practice.
5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to review vocabulary and Grammar points (Unit4 – Unit6); Prepare lesson: Review
- Play game.
- Listen to the teacher.
