 Unit 7: HOW DO YOU LEARN ENGLISH?
 Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3)
A.OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 
use the words and phrases related to the topics How do you learn English?. 
- ask and answer questions about How someone learns English
2. Competences:
- Problems solving and creation
- Communication and cooperation
- Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work
- Linguistic competence 
3. Quality:
- Hardworking
- Responsible 
- Honest
4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 
5. Vocabulary: Speak, listen, write, read, email....
6. Grammar point: How do you practise.... ? I ...
B. TEACHING AIDS
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and 
flashcards, balls 
2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks
C. PROCEDURES
* Warm up.
-The whole class sing “We have English today” song
* New lesson
I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What 
-T introduce new words then ss listen and repeat them
- Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time
- Do choral and individual repetition
- Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments
- T introduce the sentence pattern and new words
- Have ss repeat them a few times. 
II. Practice
1. Point and say.
- Have ss work in pairs: using the model sentence ask and answer questions 
about How someone learns English
- Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments.
2. Let’s talk.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Get pupils to work in pairs to interact.
- Call a few pairs to ask and answer in front of the class and others give 
comments.
III. Production.
-Tell ss that they are going to play “ Pass the secret” game
- T guides the way to play.
- Ss play game - others look and give comment

- Do part 4, 5, 6 page 47 in Student’s book.
