 Unit 4: DID YOU GO TO THE PARTY?
 Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3)
A.OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to - ask and answer questions 
about whether someone did something
2. Competences:
- Problems solving and creation
- Communication and cooperation
- Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work
- Linguistic competence 
3. Quality:
- Hardworking
- Responsible 
- Honest
4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 
5. Vocabulary: alot of, invite, join, funfair, chat, party
6. Grammar point: Did you...?- Yes, I did/ No, I didn’t.
B. TEACHING AIDS
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and 
flashcards, balls 
2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks
C. PROCEDURES
* Warm up.
-The whole class sing “Where were you yesterday?” song
* New lesson
I. Presentation
 - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What -T introduce new words then ss listen and repeat them
- Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time
- Do choral and individual repetition
- Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments
- T introduce the sentence pattern and new words: Did you...?- Yes, I did/ No, I 
didn’t.
- Have ss repeat them a few times. 
II. Practice
1. Point and say.
- Have ss work in pairs: using the model sentence to ask and answer question 
about whether someone did something
- Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments.
2. Let’s talk.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Get pupils to work in pairs to interact.
- Call a few pairs to ask and answer in front of the class and others give 
comments.
III. Production.
- Tell ss that they are going to make sentence with the words with teacher’s 
cards – T model and ss look then do it
- Others look and give comment
D. HOME-LINK
- Practise asking and answer questions about one’s name.
- Do part 4, 5, 6 page 25 in Student’s book.

5. Vocabulary: take part, cartoon, eat
