A. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Pronounce the sounds of the letters pl and sh in the words: plane and ship 
respectively.
- Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words plane and ship.
- Say the chant: Do you have a doll?
B. LANGUAGE FOCUS
Vocabulary

Key grammatical structure
The sentence patterns: Do you have a ..? ̶ Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

Warmer: Greeting and sing the song
-Have Ss to say the chant ‘’ How many desks?’’
-T asks Ss some questions: How many windows/ posters/ doors are there in 
class room?
- Tell students that they are going to read a dialogue in which students talk about 
toys.
Activity 1: Task 1: Listen and repeat. 
- Have Ss open their books page 34.
- Tell Ss plane and ship.
- Produce the sound of the letter pl in the words plane and that of the letter sh in 
the word ship.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
Keys: 1a ,2a, 3b, 4b, 5a
Activity 2: full controlled & less controlled
Task 2: Listen and write
- Have Ss open their books to page 34.
- Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 
and 2.
- Listen and check answer.
- Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class
- Listen and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues.
- Ask students to say the phrases chorally and individually. Repeat the same 
procedure with the rest of the pictures. 
- Ask students to practice in pairs, using the prompts in the bubbles and the picture
Task 3: Let’s chant
Do you have a doll?
- Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books.
- Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again.
- Ask Ss to practice singing in groups.
- Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class.
- Give comments.
- Summary the lesson
Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask students to answer the following questions: 
 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
- Ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker has a toy, using 
Do you have a ..? ̶ Yes, I do. / No, I don’t
2. What’re the core values of the lesson? 
- Show respect and love toys and share your toys by using appropriate gestures 
and intonation when ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker 
has a toy. 
- Remind students to learn new words and structure by heart.
 - Prepare for the next lesson (Review3: 1-2).

- Perform their abilities in listening, speaking and writing related to the topics 
from Units 11-15, using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they 
have learnt.
- Vocabulary: review
- Grammar: review - Listen and tick the correct pictures, and/ or listen and number the pictures. (If 
time is restrained, choose either Listen and tick or Listen and number.) 
- Read and fill a gapped paragraph, using the words provided. 
- Read and match the questions with the answers. 
- Look at the pictures and answer the questions

- Tell students that they are going to review the sentence patterns: Do you have 
a ..? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. through many interesting activities and 
lead them to the new lesson. Activity 1:Listen and tick
Listen and tick
- Have pupils look at pictures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on page 36 of the Student Book. 
Give the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’ 
words. Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the 
pictures they hear. Guess the answer
- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and tick the boxes. Check their 
guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer:
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answers: 1 – c; 2 – d; 3 – b; 4 – a.
Activity 2: Listen and number
- Have pupils look at pictures a, b, c and d on page 36 of the Student Book. 
Elicit the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’ 
words. 
-Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and match the 
information they hear to the pictures. They should number the boxes. Guess the 
answer
- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and number the boxes. Check their 
guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer:
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
 3. Read and complete
- T explains the situation and how to do the exercise
- Ask students to read the dialogue in the book and fill the words given to 
complete the dialogue. Work in pairs to do the exercise then practice in pairs in 
front of the whole class. The rest listen to and give the remark. 
- Correct the pronunciation.

- Ask students to answer the following questions:

- Show respect and love toys and keep their toys tidy by using appropriate 
gestures and intonation when listening, reading and wrting about toys. 
- Remind students to read the text and write .
 - Prepare for the next lesson (Review3 (4-5 ).
