WEEK 11 Date of planning: 20/11/2021 Date of teaching: 23 /11/2021 Unit 10: WHAT DO YOU DO AT BREAK TIME ? Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3) A.OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will be able ask and answer about break time activities. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: break time, badminton, football, chess, basketball, table tennis, play 6. Grammar point: What do you do at break time? I play + game/ sport. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector, laptop and flashcards 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, notebooks C. PROCEDURES * Warm up. - Play Kim’s game. * New lesson I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What - Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time - Do choral and individual repetition - Ask Ss to role play the dialouge. - Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments -T introduce new words: break time, badminton, football, chess, basketball, table tennis, play. Then ask ss to listen and repeat them. - T introduce the sentence pattern: What do you do at break time? I play ............... II. Practice 1. Point and say. - Model - Have ss work in pairs. - Monitor and help if necessary. - Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments. 2. Let’s talk. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Get pupils to work in pairs to interact. - Call a few pairs to ask and answer in front of the class and others give comments. III. Production. - Tell ss that they are going to play “Remembering pictures” game - T guides the way - Ss play game - others look and give comment D. HOME-LINK - Do part 4, 5, 6 page 65 in Student’s book. E. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: skating, hide-and-seek, skipping, blind man’s bluff 6. Grammar point: Do you like + game/ sport? Yes, i do. / No, I don’t B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector, laptop and flashcards 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks C. PROCEDURES * Warm up. - The whole class sing “ hide-and-seek ”song . * New lesson I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What - Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time - Do choral and individual repetition - Ask Ss to role play the dialouge. - Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments -T introduce new words: skating, hide-and-seek, skipping, blind man’s bluff .
