OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students can: List some objects at home. Recognize the exclamations and their meaning. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, tape, cassette player, pictures III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up : (7’) - Ask Ss to observe some pictures and guess the topic of the lesson. - Lead to the lesson. - Observe and guess. - Listen and write down. 2/ Presentation: (13’) - Use pictures to elicit new words. I. New words: awful (adj) lovely (adj) bright (adj) convenient (adj) amazing (adj) a sink (n) a tub (n) a washing machine (n) a dryer (n) a refrigerator (n) a dishwasher (n) an electric stove (n) have a seat : mời ngồi I’d love some: tôi thích một ít - Check new words : Network - Elicit structure. II. Structure: What an awful day! What a bright room! What nice colors! - Pay attention, guess the meaning and read aloud. - Do as directed. - Listen and take note. 3/ Practice: $Activity 1: (8’) - Get Ss listen the tape twice. - Ask Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs. - Ask Ss to find out the exclamations in the dialogue. $Activity 2: (10’) - Ask Ss to read the conversation again and answer the questions. - Listen and repeat the conversation. - Pratice in pairs. - Find out the exclamations. What things are there in your room/kitchen/bathroom? - Answer about oneself. 5/ Homework: (2’) - Ask Ss to: + Learn new words and structure by heart. + Write about their house. + Prepare unit 3 – A2. - Write assignments. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students can make the exclamations to give complaints and compliments. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm- up : (7’) - Ask Ss to rearrange the words into the correct exclamations. 1. awful / what / day / an! 2. room / a / what/ bright! 3. what / colors / nice! - Lead to the lesson. - Arrange the words into the correct exclamations. 1. What an awful day! 2. What a bright room! 3. What nice colors! - Listen and write down. 2/ Presentation : $ Activity 1: (8’) - Teach new words. I. New words: wet ( adj ) : ẩm ướt delicous ( adj ) : ngon expensive (adj): mắt - Practice new words. - Check new words: slap the board $ Activity 2: (6’) - Write the model sentences on the BB II. Strucuture: 1. What an intelligent girl! 5/ Homework: (2’) - Ask Ss to: + Learn new words and structure by heart. + Learn the exclamations. + Prepare unit 3 – B1. - Write assignments. IV. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students can know the job of a farmer and where he does his job. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, pictures III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm- up : (6’) - Introduce: “My job is a teacher. I work in a school.”, and asks Ss: What does your father do? Where does he work? - Listen and answer the questions 2/ Presentation: (15’) - Teach new words I. New words: Farm(n): nông trại ( to ) raise cattle: nuôi gia súc from … till: từ …đến - Elicit structure. II. Structure: 1. What do you do? = What is your job? He / She works … - Copy down. - Pay attention and take note. 3/ Practice: $ Activity 1: (5’) - Ask Ss to listen the dialogue twice. - Ask Ss to practice the dialogue with the partner. - Call on some pairs role play. - Listen the dialogue. - Practice the dialogue in pairs. - Role play the dialogue. $ Activity 2: (10’) - Ask Ss to read the questions and answer the questions. - Ask Ss to give feedback. - Answer the questions in groups. - Give feedback. a.
