1. Warm - Up:(5’)

- Let Ss listen, then shout “Bingo”

I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to review vocabulary about places, describe places around their house, know how to pronounce plural nouns.

III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - Up:(5’)
- Let Ss listen, then shout “Bingo”

2. Presentation: (13’)
- Introduce some new words:
 + town (n)
 + village (n)
- Ask Ss practice the new words. 
- Check vocabulary: “Rub out and remember”
- Give structure:
There is a/ an ... near 
There are .. near ..
Ex: There’s a hotel near our house.
 They are trees near our house
- Explain how to pronounce plural nouns: /iz/; /s/; /z/
3. Practice: (15’)
- Play the tape for Ss, write the words.
- Have Ss look at the picture, write sentences about their places.
- Have Ss practice in pairs.
- Ask Ss to play “ Guessing game.”

+ a river
+ a rice paddy
+ a school
4. Production: (10’)
- Give the model.
 + There is a hotel near our house.
- Ask Ss to write 4 - 6 sentences about their place.
- Play the tape” Play with words”
- Call some Ss to read aloud.
5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary.
Prepare next lesson: Unit 6 – B1, 2, 3/p. 66
- Shouts “Bingo”. 
- Listen and write.
- Repeat after the teacher.
- Review.
- Write down.
- Listen and write.
- Listen and write the words.
- Look at the picture, work in pair.
- Practice in pairs.
- Play game.
* Ss 1: What is there near ?
* Ss 2: Is there a park near?
* Ss 1:Yes, there is / No, there isn’t.
- Listen to the teacher.
- Individual work.
- Listen to the tape.
- Read.
