Presentation: (13’) - Introduce some new words: + town (n) + village (n) - Ask Ss practice the new words. - Check vocabulary: “Rub out and remember” - Give structure: There is a/ an ... near There are .. near .. Ex: There’s a hotel near our house. They are trees near our house - Explain how to pronounce plural nouns: /iz/; /s/; /z/ 3. Practice: (15’) - Play the tape for Ss, write the words. - Have Ss look at the picture, write sentences about their places. - Have Ss practice in pairs. - Ask Ss to play “ Guessing game.” + a park + a hotel + a river + a rice paddy + a school 4. Production: (10’) - Give the model. + There is a hotel near our house. - Ask Ss to write 4 - 6 sentences about their place. - Play the tape” Play with words” - Call some Ss to read aloud. 5. Homework: (2’) - Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary.
