Activity 1: Introduce vocabulary
- T uses a calendar ( chØ vµo ngµy h«m nay ) to teach: “ today ” word
- T uses a clock or a watch to teach “ now ” word.
- T guides Ss to read these words severa times.l
Activity 2: Present the possessive pronoun pattern using “my and your”:
Teacher uses puppets to present “ your, my”
eg: puppet A( chØ vµo ngùc m×nh ,nãi) “MY”. va chi vao puppet B , nãi “YOUR”.
- T guides Ss to read these words several times.
- T present new pattern.
- Puppet A: ( ®­a 1 chiÕc b¸nh cho puppet B) : It’s your birthday.
- Puppet B: Yes, it’s my birthday, today
.
* Practice:
- T guides Ss to practice.
eg: Puppet A: (nh×n xuèng líp vµ nãi): It’s your birthday, today
- Class ( tr¶ lêi ): Yes, It’s my birthday, today
T gives a gift for one student and says. “It’s your birthday today”
T asks Ss to practice the pattern in pairs.
Activity 3: Present the subject pronoun pattern using “I’m and you’re
- T draws a birthday cake and uses puppets to present.
eg: Puppet A( chØ vµo b¸nh SN cã b¶y ngän nÕn): “ I’m seven years old ”
 Puppet B: you’re seven years old.
- T guides Ss to repeat.
- T draws an other cake( vÏ sè nÕn lªn b¸nh) gäi 2 hs luyÖn tËp.

Now : b©y giê
II/ Present the possessive pronoun pattern using “my and your”:
- Look ,lisen
- Listen and guess the meaning
+ My ( pro ): cña t«i ,cña m×nh….
+ Your ( pro ): cña b¹n, cña cËu…..
- Say in chorus:
 It’s your birthday today
- P1 say
 It’s mybirthday today
Practice:
Puppet A: It’s your birthday, today
Class: Yes, It’s my birthday, today
-Hs chØ vµo hs1 nãi: “It’s your birthday today”
- Hs1 chØ vµo m×nh, nãi : “It’s my birthday today”.
III/ Present the subject pronoun pattern using “I’m and you’re”:
- Listen and repeat
- I’m = I am
- You’re = You are
Am, are ( tobe ) : o , thi , la
A: I’m seven years old
B: you’re seven years old
-Practice
S1: I’m eight years old
S2: you’re eight years old
4/ Other activities:

Play the game: “Make the sentences with: my, your, I’m, you’re" for drilling the structure

 - Learn, read “ the happy birthday song”
