Yes, he can / No, he can’t Vocabulary: Phase of verbs: climb a tree, play base ball, read a book. II/ Teaching aids: T: planing lesson, text book, tape, cassette. teacher’s cards, real objects Ss: book, workbook III/ Activities for teaching and learning: 1/ Settlement: 2/ Warm up: - Sing “ how’s the weather?” song - Consolidate the order sentences again in unit 5. - Practice in pairs S1: Can you…? S2: Yes, I can. ( No, I can't) 3/ New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1: Present the commands - T uses TPR ( Total physical response) method to present the commands. - eg: T: ( chØ phiÕu , dïng ®éng t¸c trÌo c©y vµ nãi ) climb a tree - T:(chØ phiÕu ,dïng ®éng t¸c ®¸nh bãng chµy vµ nãi) play base ball . - T : Read a book (sau ®ã cÇm quyÓn s¸ch ®äc ) - Does again - Act but don’t say - Say and write on the board T:Yes, climb a tree Activity 2:Listen and repeat - Ask for Ss to open the book page 16. Look at the picture and remark - Play the tape and ask for Ss to repeat - Correct the mistakes. * Activity3 : Practice - Say and ask for Ss to act - Divide Ss into 3 groups. Give the commands to each group - Ask for Ss practise in pairs Activity 4: Practice the commands with Can……? - T uses real situation to review “ Can” - ex: T ( cÇm quyÓn s¸ch võa ®äc võa nãi ) I can read a book. - T asks Ss: “ Can you read a book? ” - T uses cards (111->113) and asks Ss - T devides class in to groups to practice - T asks Ss to practice in pairs I/ The commands: - Say and do after T - Say and do after T - Say and do after T - Say and act after T - Say and act the commands - Guess the meaning II/ Listen and repeat - Open the book. Look at the picture and remark - Listen and repeat. - Read in chorus - Read individual ( other Ss remark) III/ Practice - Act - Do in group.
