Activity 1: Present question and answer pattern with singular nouns
- T uses teacher cards and puppets to present . 
ex: Gv chi vao phieu 99 co 1 bong hoa.
Puppet A: How many flowers are there ?
Puppet B: There is one flower
- T repeats puppet A
- Ss repeat puppet B then change role
- T explains the different between singular and plural nouns
ex: Gv chi fieu 100 va gio 3 ngon tay : THREE flowers
 Gv chi fieu 99 va gio 1 ngon tay : ONE flower
Activity 2: Practice:
Teacher uses cards ( 99-106) to practice
T asks and Ss answer
ex: T: “How many trees are there ? ”
 Ss: There are 4 trees
T gio phieu 105: How many puddles are there ?
Ss : There is one puddle
T asks Ss use the cards to practice in groups and pairs
I/ Present question and answer pattern with singular nouns:
A: How many flowers are there ?
B: There is one
There are three flowers
There is one flower
II/ Practice:
T: How many trees are there ?
Ss: There are four trees
T: How many puddles are there ?
Ss: There’s one puddle
Practice in groups:
GA: How many clouds are there ?
GB: There are four clouds
Practice in pairs
S1: How many pens are there ?
S2: There’s one pen
