WEEK 3 Date of planning: 25/9/2021 Date of teaching: 28/9/2021 Unit 2: What’s your name? Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3) A.OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about one’s name. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: what’s, you, your, name. 6. Grammar point: What’s your name? My name is + name B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and flashcards, balls 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks C. PROCEDURES * Warm up. - Engage ss’ interest and stir up the atmosphere. * New lesson I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What - T introduce new words then ss listen and repeat them - Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time - Do choral and individual repetition - Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments - T introduce the sentence pattern and new words: What’s your name? My name is + name - Have ss repeat them a few times. II. Practice 1. Point and say. - Have ss work in pairs: using the model sentence to ask and answer questions about one’s name. - Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments. 2. Let’s talk. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Get pupils to work in pairs to interact. - Call a few pairs to act out the greetings and responses in front of the class and others give comments. III. Production. -Tell ss that they are going to play game “Bees find words” with teacher’s cards – T model and ss look then play game. D. HOME-LINK(3’) - Practise asking and answer questions about one’s name. - Do part 4, 5, 6 page 13 in Student’s book. E.
