 Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3)
A.OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 
- Use the words and phrases related to the topics Favourite books. 
- Ask and answer questions about what story/book someone is reading 
2. Competences:
- Problems solving and creation
- Communication and cooperation
- Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work
- Linguistic competence 
3. Quality:
- Hardworking
- Responsible 
- Honest
4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 
5. Vocabulary: names of books/ stories.
6. Grammar point: What are you reading? I’m reading ...
B. TEACHING AIDS
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and 
flashcards, balls 
2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks
C. PROCEDURES
* Warm up.
- Chatting
 * New lesson
I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What 
-T introduce new words then ss listen and repeat them
- Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time
- Do choral and individual repetition
- Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments
- T introduce the sentence pattern and new words
- Have ss repeat them a few times. 
II. Practice
1. Point and say.
- Have ss work in pairs.
- Monitor and help if necessary.
- Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments.
2. Let’s talk.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
- Get pupils to work in pairs to interact.
- Call a few pairs to ask and answer in front of the class and others give 
comments.
III. Production.
- Tell ss that they are going to play “ telling story” game
- T guide the way
- Ss play game - others look and give comment

- Do part 4, 5, 6 page 53 in Student’s book.

5. Vocabulary: : hard-working, clever, gentle, generous, funny, fairy tale...
6. Grammar point: What’s ... like? He’s/She’s ....
