WEEK 7 Date of planning: 21/10/2021 Date of teaching: 26 /10/2021 Unit 6: HOW MANY LESSONS DO YOU HAVE TODAY? Lesson 1 (1, 2, 3) A.OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - use the words and phrases related to the topics school lessons. - ask and answer questions about school lessons. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: revision Maths, Vietnamese, IT, Musis, Science, PE, Art. 6. Grammar point: How many lessons do you have today? I have ... B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and flashcards, balls 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks C. PROCEDURES * Warm up. -The whole class play game “Shark attacks” ( _ _ _ _ _ _ lesson) * New lesson I. Presentation - Have them look at the pictures and ask the questions: Who/Where/What -T introduce new words then ss listen and repeat them - Play the recording for ss to listen and repeat a few time - Do choral and individual repetition - Call some pairs to read aloud and others give comments - T introduce the sentence pattern and new words: How many lessons do you have today? I have ... - Have ss repeat them a few times. II. Practice 1. Point and say. - Have ss work in pairs: using the model sentence to ask and answer questions about school lessons. - Call some pairs to practise in front of the class and others give comments. 2. Let’s talk. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Get pupils to work in pairs to interact. - Call a few pairs to ask and answer in front of the class and others give comments. III. Production. - Play ““ Physical line-up” game” game - T guide the way - Ss play game - others look and give comment D. HOME-LINK - Practise asking and answer questions about one’s name. - Do part 4, 5, 6 page 37 in Student’s book. E. Quality: - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: revision of days of the week, once/twice a week.... 6. Grammar point: How often do you have ...?
