 *Warmer: Greeting 
 - Have 2 pairs ask and answer the questions What are they doing?
 - Monitor the activity.
 - Tell students that they are going to read a dialogue in which students ask and 
 answer questions about the weather in different places.And lead students to the 
 new lesson.
 Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat
 - Have Ss open their books page 60.
 - Tell ss that they are going to practice talking about the weather.
 - Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the name of the character and explain 
 what they say.
 - Use 2 puppets to present the situation.
 - Play the tape.
 - Play the tape again.
 - Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues.
 - Use pictures to introduce new words: sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, snowy, stormy.
 - Teach new structures:
 +What’s the weather like?
 It’s ..
 - Monitor the activity.
 Activity 2: Full controlled &less controlled
 Task 1: Point and say
 - Have pupils look at each the picture.
 - Ask pupils to identify activities.
 - Use the first picture as an example and put the question and answer on the board.
 - Have Ss repeat the phrases a few times.
 - Ask Ss to practice in pairs.
 - Monitor the activity. - Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) to perform the task at the front of the class.
- Observe and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the dialogue.
Task 2: : Let’s talk
- Have Ss look at the pictures on page 60.
- Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.
 - Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say.
- Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles.
- Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles.
- Ask ss to work in pairs.
- Monitor the activity.
- Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue.

- Ask students to answer the following questions:

Activity 1: Greet & song.
- Get ss to sing the song The weather song.
- Monitor the activity.
Activity 2: Presentation (Listen and repeat - page 62)
- Have Ss open their books page 62.
- Tell Ss that they are going to review phrases of saying rainy and skate.
- Produce the sound of the letter ai in the words rainy and that of the letter a-e in the 
word skate.
- Play the tape.
- Play the tape again.
Activity 3: Listening practice (Activity 2:.Listen and write)
- Have Ss open their books to page 62.
- Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in dialogues 1 and 
2.
- Listen and check answer.
- Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class
- Listen and give comments.
- Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues.
Activity 5: Chant practice (Activity 3: Let’s chant on page 62)

- Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books.
- Play the tape and ask Ss to listen.
- Play the tape again.
- Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class
Activity 6: Wrap-up & Assignments
- Ask students to answer the following questions: 
1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
(learn the way to pronounce the letter clusters ai in rainy and a-e in skate)
