 Passive FORMS ( C©u bÞ ®éng) 
I. The aims and requests. 
1. The aims: - Help Ss to revise Passive FORMS 
 - Improve Ss’ language skill 
2. The requests: - By the end of lesson, Ss will be able to use all the target 
languages they have learnt 
correctly and do exercises about them. 
II. The Content: 
 * CAÙCH BIEÁN ÑOÅI CHO TÖØNG THÌ: 
 I. Present simple tense: (thì hieän taïi ñôn) 
 S + is/am/are + V3/ed + (By O) 
 Ex: I see Nga at the bus stop every day. 
 Nga is seen at the bus stop (by me) every day. 
 II. Present progressive tense: (thì hieän taïi tieáp dieãn) 
 S + is/am/are +being + V3/ed + (By + O) 
 Ex: He is asking me a lot of questions. 
 I am being asked a lot of questions. 
 III. Simple past: (quùa khöù ñôn) 
 S + Were / Was + V3/ed + (By O) 
 Ex: My mother wrote that letter. 
 That letter was written by my mother. 
 IV. Past progressive: (quaù khöù tieáp dieãn) 
 S + Were/Was +Being + V3/ed + (By O) 
 Ex: She was doing her homework at that time. 
 Her homework was being done at that time. 
 V. Present perfect: (hieän taïi hoaøn thaønh) 
 S + Have/has + Been + V3/ed + (By O) 
 Ex: She has given me some presents on my birthday. 
 I have been given some presents on my birthday. 
 VI. Model verbs: (will/shall/can/must/have to/ ) 
 S + Modal verb + BE-inf + V3/ed + (By O) Ex: My friend can answer the questions. 
 The questions can be answered by my friend. 
 Chuù yù: 
 Caùc taân ngöõ “me, you, him, her, them, us, people, someone, ” ta neân boû 
 khoûi caâu bò ñoäng neáu khoâng muoán neâu roû taùc nhaân. 
 Ghi chuù: 
 - Taân ngöõ trong caâu bò ñoäng ta phaûi ñaët sau phoù töø chæ nôi choán vaø tröôùc 
 phoù töø chæ thôøi gian. 
 - Sau caùc ñoäng töø khieám khuyeát thì ñoäng töø “To Be” luoân luoân nguyeân 
 maãu. 
 Baøi taäp: 
 Turn into the passive voice: 
 1. The teacher explains the lesson. 
 2. Mrs. Green is cooking the food in the kitchen. 
 3. These boys made that noise. 
 4. People speak English all over the world. 
 5. I gave him back the money last Sunday. 
 6. Nga can’t do these exercises quickly.

*Note: Động từ thường ở câu chủ động là thì nào thì khi chuyển về câu bị động 
ta chia động từ to be ở thì đó.
