V, Procedure:

1,Warm up Chatting

 Ask SS to some questions about weather.

 - What’s the weather like today ?

 - Do you like hot / cold weather ?

 - Have you ever listened to the weather forecast on the radio or on TV ?

 -Do you think weather forecast is useful for us ? How is it useful ?

2, Listen and read:

a, Pre-teach vocabularies: By the end of this part, Ss will be able to master vocabularies.

- delta (n) : vùng châu thổ

-just in case (n) : phòng khi

-weather forecast (n) : dự báo thời tiết

-thunder storm (n) : bão sấm sét

-(to) experience : trải qua

-(to) expect : mong đợi

-cloud (n) : mây

-coast (n) : bãi biển

-(to) trust : tin cậy

Checking vocabularies : Slap the Board

Teacher asks Ss to listen to the tape twice.
c, Read: 
By the end of this part, Ss will be able to read get the information about the weather from the weather forecast, get used to weather vocabulary and personalize the dialogue. 
*,Pre-questions: Set the scene.
“ Thuy is talking to her grandmother while they both are watching.”
Give Ss one question and ask them to guess the answers: A- What are they watching ?
 Give feedback

**, Gap fill::
 Have Ss read the dialogue silently and do exercise 2b on page 75
Get them to share their answers with their partners.

Show the questions on the poster. Ask Ss to answer the questions in pairs.

1, Why does Thuy’s grandmother ask her to turn up the volume ?
- Because she wants to listen to the weather forecast.
2, Which City is the hottest today ?
- Ho Chi Minh City is the hottest.
3, Where is Thuy going ?
- She is going on to a park on the other side of Thang Long Bridge with her old friends( she is going on a picnic )
4, What does Thuy’s grandmother want her to do ?
- She wants her to bring along a raincoat.
	Have Ss practice asking and answering in pairs.
****, Practice the dialogue:
-Let Ss listen to the dialogue and focus on the pronunciation.
- Call on some Ss to play the roles of Thuy, grandmother and weatherman to practice the dialogue.
- Ask Ss to practice the dialogue in group of three.
d, Language notes:
By the end of this part, Ss will be able to master how to use the future continuous tense.
 Teacher asks Ss to pick out a sentence from the text.
Eg: . . . . . It will be raining along the coal of Thanh Hoa.
Use: to describe the action which is happening at the time in the future.
Form: Subject + Will / Shall + Be + Verb-ING.
VI, Homework: 
- Ask Ss to write a weather forecast. The dialogue will help them. Ss can change the information, the places .. . .
- Be ready lesson 2: Speak
