Objectives: - Identifying numbers in the telephone directory. - Asking for and giving telephone number . - Developing reading , listening and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids: - Pictures - Cassette recorder - Tape , a page of telephone directory , colored chalk . III. Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Content Warm- up: - T has ss make questions about the distance. - T evaluates and gives marks Presentation: - Setting up the scene : We have heard the numbers . Now we use them to talk about the telephone numbers . - Presenting vocabulary : - Task 1 : questions and answers Now read the page silently ( silent reading ) and tell me how many telephone numbers there are on the page. - Correcting the task : 14 telephone numbers - Teacher suggests how to read the telephone numbers - Task 2 : Students read questions a-f and say them . 3.
