-Ask Ss some questions
- Ask 2 Ss to go to the board to do the exercise Phonetics 1, 2 (Workbook p.3)
Lead in:
- What do you usually play /do/have?
-> To know how you greet in English. Let’s begin Unit 1.part a closer look 1
-Set the scene:
- Use pictures in page 8
+ What are they doing?
 - Ask Ss to listen and repeat 
- Play the recording (task 1)
-Have sts repeat the words.
- Check 2 Ss
- Have sts put the words in task 1 into groups: play / do / have
study.
- Ask some Ss to go to the board to say and write down their answers
- Give the correction.
- Have Ss choose one word to fill in each blank of the sentence in task 3.
- Ask 2 Ss to go to the board to say and write down their answers
- Give the correction.
- Have Ss write sentences about themselves by using the combinations they have just leanred. Give an example
E.g: I/We have English lessons on Friday and Saturday. 
- Call some Ss to give their sentences by saying and writing
+ Set the sense:
- How do you say “going”/ “Monday”?
- Play the recording
- Have Ss practise the sounds /∂u / and / L/ (5 P8)
- Check some sts
- Play the recording (task 6), have Ss listen and put them into two groups: /∂u / and / L/ (5 P8)
- Call some Ss to write their answers on the board.
- Check and correct
+ Set the sense:
- Can you find words with the sounds /ǝʊ/ ?
-I’m going to visit my friend tomorrow.
 - Have Ss look at the sentences in task 7, play the recording. play the tape for them to 
-Guide Ss to do their homework.
