Lesson 7: Looking back and project
I. Objectives.
 By the end of this lesson, students can:
- Review vocabulary, how to use " there is/ are", prepositions of place.
- Tell the group about their house.

- Vocabulary:

- Grammar
 * Review
 + There is/ There are.....
 + Prepositions of place

 Teacher and students’activities
1.Warm up.
- Teacher gives a network and asks students to complete it .

2. Presentation
- Encourage Ss not refer back to the unit
- Ask them to keep record of their answers to each exercise so they can use that information to complete the self- assement box at the end of the unit.
3.Practice.
- Ss do this activity individually then compare their answers with a partner
- Ask for Ss' answers or ask one S to write her/ his answer on the board.
- Ask Ss to work in groups to add more words to each group.
- The group that can add the most words to the list will be the winter.
+ Types of building: cottage, farmhouse, bungalow.
+ Rooms: dinning room, guestroom, utility room.
+ Furniture: stool, armchair.
- Group competition. Draw the table on the board
- Ss work in groups. The group which finishes the activity will go to the board and write their 
answers. If all the answers are correct, the group will be the winner
- Ss do this exercise individually then compare their answers with a partner.
- Ask some Ss to write the sentences on the board.
- Check Ss'answers.
- Teacher asks some students to describe their bedroom in front of the class.
- Ss do this exercise individually .
- Call 2 Ss write their sentences on the board
- Students work in group and take turns to draw a cat in the house in the book
- other students ask questions to find the cat
- Collect their mistakes and errors and discuss them with the whole class.
- Ask Ss to complete the self- assessment
- Ss work in group
- One S in the group asks other group members question 1 and fills the information in the following table
- This S then summaries their group members' answers and reports the results to the whole class
- Ss draw their own crazy house and tell the group about their house. ( If there is much time)
4. Consolidation.
- Repeat grammar in this lesson 
 + There is/ are
 + There isn't/ There aren't.
 + Prepositions of place
5.Homework.
- Draw your own strange house. Write about your house.
 Content
* Vocabulary:
1. Put the words into the correct groups. Do you want to add any words to each group?
- Types of building: villa, apartment , town house, stilt house, country house
- Rooms: living room, hall, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, attic
- Furniture: picture, cupboard, chest of drawers, wardrobe, sofa, dishwasher, desk.
* Grammar:
2. Make sentences. Use appropriate prepositions of place.
1. The boy is on the table.
2. The dog is in front of the kennel.
3. The cat is between the bookshelf and the sofa.
4. The cat is behind the computer.
5. The girl is in the armchair.
6. The boy is next to the armchair.
3. Complete the sentences. Use " There is/ there are/ there isn't/ there aren't.

3. There is 6. There aren't
4.Turn the sentences in 3 into questions
 1. Is there...............?
 2. Are there............?
 3. Is there...............?
 4. Are there............?

5. Write 6 sentences to describe your bedroom.
Ex: There is a big bed next to the door
 There is a TV on the table to the left of my room.

* Communication
6. Work in group. Take turns to draw a cat in the house below. Other students ask questions to find the cat.
Eg:
 A: Where is the cat?
 B: Is it on the bed?
 A: No, it isn't.
 C: Is it under the table?
 A: Yes, it is.
