1/ Warm-up: (8’)
Checking up
- Ask 2 Ss to go to the board to practise asking and answering with word cues.

- Correct and give marks.
- Ask and answer.
* Keys:
a) What’s this? – It’s a television. b)What are these?- They are stools.

2/ Presentation: (15’)
$ Activity 1: 
- Elicit vocabulary on the board. 
I. Vocabulary:

Ø Sister : chÞ g¸i, em g¸i (visual)

* Check vocabulary: What and Where
$ Activity 2: 
- Set the scene: This is Ba.He is talking about his family members.
- Ask Ss listen to the radio once,then twice.Then ask them listen to and repeat the text in chorus.
- Hang a poster and show a grid, then ask Ss to read the dialogue silently for details & fill in the grid individually.

$ Activity 3: Dialogue build
- Elicit the dialogue on the board. 
S1: who's this/that? 
S2: This/ That's his mother.
S1: What's her name? 
S2: Her name's Nga.
- Ask Ss to fill in the dialogue: his/her/mother/is.
II. Structure:
+ Form: Who + is + this/that?
 This/ That’s Ba’s mother
 What + is + his/her name?
 His/Her name is Nga.
- Listen to the words. 
- Repeat the words in chorus & in individual.
- Give the meaning & the pronunciation.
- Copy the words.
- Listen to the dialogue, and practice the dialogue in chorus, and in pairs.
- Look at the grid and work individually.

3/ Practice: (10’)
- Ask Ss to answer the questions follow the request in A4.

4/ Production: (10’)
 Picture drill( Ss’ photographs)
- Ask Ss to use their photos to practise speaking in pairs/groups of 4.
( as the dialogue in « practice »).
- Get feedback : check some pairs.
- Draw their family.

5/ Homework: (2’)
- Have Ss:
+ Study the possessive pronouns. 
+ Do exercise A3,4/p.19,20.
+ Prepare for next lesson.

 Lesson 3: B1,2,3,4,5
I. OBJECTIVES: 
 - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
+ Learn by heart the way to read the numbers 20, 30, 40, 50, …, 100;
+ Learn the rule of adding “s/es” for plural nouns and the rule of adding “es” for the noun ending “ch”;
+ Know the usage of “How many … are there? – There is/ are …”
+ Know the rule to pronounce the sounds “/s/, /z/, /iz/.
(Class A1: Count objects in the class, house)

1/ Warm-up: (6’)
- Ask Ss to read the numbers from 1 to 20.
- Read the number from 1 to 20.
2/ Presentation: (17’)
$ Activity 1: 
- Introduce new words.
I. Vocabulary:

Fifty. (50) Ninety (90)	Realia

There is / there are
- Read new words and Ss repeat in chorus. 
$ Activity 2: 
- Ask Ss to recall how to form plural nouns.
- Hang on the board with singular nouns: watch, bench, shirt, house... and asks the Ss to change them into plural nouns.
- Introduce how to sound “ es” and “ s” after plural noun.
II. Grammar:
+ es / iz/
+ “s” / s / when “s” – sau ©m v« thanh: k, f, t. 
+ “s” / z / - sau ©m h÷u thanh.( the last)
- Copy.
- Repeat in chorus. 
- Answer T’s request.
+ Common: singular noun + ‘s’ = plural noun
+ Special ways: nouns finifhing as: o, s, x, sh, ch add ‘ es’.
 Ex: a box => boxes. couch => couches
- Change into plural Noun.
watches, benches, shirts, houses...
- Listen and take note.
3/ Practice: (15’)
$ Activity 1: 
- Ask Ss to listen to the tape of ex 1 on the page 35 twice. 
- Ask Ss to read numbers again turn by turn.
- Give a board of numbers.
 a, 19 b, 35 c, 50, d, 67, e, 98...... 
$ Activity 2: 
- Have Ss do ex 2 on the page 36: Count the items in the classroom using “ There is / are...”.
- Ask Ss to answer about the numbers of objects in the picture of p37.
- Listen to the tape.
- Read numbers.
- Write numbers.
- Do ex2.
