1/ Warm-up: (5’)
- Test the old lesson: Ask Ss to do a task 
=>correct them
- Show the picture about school and ask Ss : “What’re the pictures about?”
=>Introduce something about the school and lead to new lesson.
- Do the task.
*Task : Sửa lỗi các câu sau:
1. We are fine, thanks you.
2. Where are you live?
3. I live in Le Loi street.
4. I am ten year old.
5. How are you? I’m twelve
- Listen.
2/ Presentation: (15’)
$ Activity 1: 
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures pages 26-27.
- Introduce vocabulary.
I. New words:
1. school (n): trường
2. student (n): học sinh
3. desk (n): bàn
4. class (n): lớp
5. classroom (n): lớp học
6. teacher (n): giáo viên
7. that’s = that is: đó là
è Checking: “Matching”
$ Activity 2: 
- Help Ss select out the model sentences.
II. Structure:
a) Giới thiệu người hoặc vật ở gần hay ở xa:
This / That + is+ my + N(số ít)
b) Hỏi đoán và trả lời về người or vật ở gần/ xa:
+ Is this/ that + your + N( vật số ít)?
Yes, it is/ No, it isn’t.( isn’t = is not).
+ Is this/that + your + N ( người số ít)?
Yes,he/she is / No, he/she isn’t.
- Look at the picture, and guess meaning.
- Write down in the notebook.
- Play “Matching”.
- Select out the model sentences. 
a) This is my school/ father.
 That is my desk/ mother.
b) Is this/that your teacher/desk?
Yes, it is /No, it isn’t.
3/ Practice: (10’)
 Word cue drill
- Run through the word cues.

- Help Ss practise.
- Get feedback.
- Copy down then practise in pairs.

4/ Production: (8’)
- Read new words.
- Recall model sentences.

* Example Exchange:

- Have Ss:
+ Learn by heart structure and new words.
+ Do exercise 2/p.15(workbook).

III. PROCEDURES:

1/ Warm up: (3’)
- Ask Ss to name some school things.
- Introduces “Today we will learn these things by English.”
- Answer: thước, bút chì, bút mực, tẩy, cặp, bàn, ghế….
- Listen.
2/ Presentation: (17’)
- Play the tape (2T).
- Guide Ss to read. 
- Elicit new words.

“a”: đứng trước phụ âm
“an”: đứng trước nguyên âm (u, e, o, a, i)

3/ Practice: (17’)
- Gets Ss look at the pictures and listen

- Introduces the function of “What is this?/ What is that?”

II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player, pictures.
III. PROCEDURES:

1/ Warm-up: (15’)
- Have Ss do test 15’.
- Do the test.
2/ Presentation: (15’)
- Give new words.

- Give examples and asks the Ss to give out the similarity and difference between “ this / These” and “ That / Those”.
Ex: This is a book . That is a table
Ex: These are books. Those are tables.
II. Structure:
1. Plural nouns:
+ Common: singulal noun + ‘s’ = plural noun
+ Special ways: nouns finifhing as: o, s, x, sh, ch add ‘ es’.
 Ex: a box => boxes. couch => couches.
- Have the Ss give questions about objects.
- Ask the Ss to change those sentences into plural form.
2. Questions:
What are these? - These / They are + plural noun.
What are those? - Those / They are + plural noun. 
- Copy down.
- Listen and coppy.
- Give structures.
+ What is this? - This/ It is + a/ an + noun.
+ What is that? - That / It is + a/ an + noun.
- Change sentences into plural form.
3/ Practice: (8’)
- Have Ss listen to the tape twice.
- Have Ss repeat in chorus, then read one by one.
- Get the Ss to work in pair.

- Listen to the tape.
- Do as T’s direction.
- Complete the sentences.
4/ Production: (5’)
- Hang on the extraboard with some pictures of objects in their house.
- Have Ss practice asking and answer about objects in the pictures.
 Ex: What is this? - This is a telephone.
- Play “ slap the board” game.
- Ask and answer.
5/ Homework: (2’)
- Have Ss:
+ Learn by heart new words, and structure.
+ Do exercise 2/p.18 (workbook).
- Write assignments.
