III. PROCEDURES:
Week : 03 Date of preparation: 31/08/2014 Period: 07 Date of teaching : 03/09/2014 UNIT 2: AT SCHOOL SECTION A: COME IN LESSON 1: A1, 2 I. OBJECTIVE: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen and understand T’s classroom imperatives. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player. III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (7’) *Noughts and crosess: - Stick the table on the board. -Guide Ss to play the game. 9-5 20-7 10+2 17+1 6+5 6+8 3-3 6×3 5+3 - Introduce the new leson. - Go to the board and practice with friends. - Give answer only. - Listen T’s introduction. 2/ Presentation: (10’) $ Activity 1: -Introduce some new words. 1. Newwords: 1. come in (v) :đi vào 2. sit down (v) : ngồi xuống 3. stand up (v) :đứng lên 4. open your book (v) :mở sách ra 5. close your book (v) :gấp sách lại * Checking: R – O - R - Read new words aloud. $ Activity 2: - Set the scene: At the classroom, teacher says sth to her Ss. - Elicit 6 pictures & help Ss practise these sentences. * Concept checking: + Ask Ss to translate these sentences in to Vietnamese. + Use: imperatives. - Listen and repeat in chorus and individially - Copy down. - Repeat, read in chorus and then in individuals. - Listen. - Practice with the partner - Translate in to Vietnamese. 3/ Practice: (15’) - Help Ss read 5 phrases in the box & run through 5 pictures. - Ask Ss to match the imperatives with the pictures. - Get feed back. - Ask Ss to look at T’s actions and says:Teacher mines: * come in / sit down / Stand up / open your book / close your book - Read 5 phrases in the box. -Match the imperatives with the pictures.Work in pairs. - Look at T’s actions then say in chorus. 4/ Production: (10’) - Help Ss play “ Simon says” to practise the imperatives. - Play game. 5/ Homework: (3’) - Ask Ss to + Learn by heart the teacher|s commands. + Do A1,2/p.11(workbook). - Write assignments. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer about personal information. - Know about the alphabet and spell the names. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player. III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/Warm up: (7’) Simon Says - Make some Imperatives. - Use the picture to introduce new lesson. - Do as directed. - Listen. 2/ Presentation: (15’) $ Activity 1: Matching - Ask Ss to match individually to guess the meaning, then copy down. 1. New words: 1. you - your (pro): bạn – của bạn 2.I - my (pro): tôi – của tôi 3. Where ( adv): ở đâu 4. live (v): sống 5. (in) a house (n): nhà 6. (on) a street (n): đường 7. (in) a city (n): thành phố 8. do (v): làm $ Activity 2: Presentation Dialogue - Open the tape twice. - Elicit structure. II. Model sentences: A: Where do you live? B: I live on Tran Phu Street. in a house a city Hue Vietnam. Simple present: S+ V(s/es) - Dùng diễn tả 1 sự thật hiển nhiên,một hành động xảy ra tại thời điểm nói. - Listen and write the new words in their notebooks.Then match. ( to) live ( in) a house Hue ( on) a street ( in) a city H - Listen to the dialogue. - Listen and write the model sentences in their notebooks. 3/ Practice: (10’) - Ask Ss to practice in pair the dialogue. - Call some pair to make the dialogue. - Have Ss to make the dialogue by themselves. - Work in pair. - Present. - Make the similar dialogue. 4/ Production: (10’) $ Activity 1: Role- play - Ask Ss to ask and answer about themselves. + Name; + Age; + Place of living - Go around and help if necessary. - Call on some pairs to show their work. - Correct. $ Activity 2: Alphabet - Get Ss to listen “Alphabet song”. - Demonstrate Ss to read the Alphabet. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. - Have Ss read the Alphabet in pair. - Work in pairs. - Ask and answer loudly. - Listen. - Read the Alphabet. - Read in pair. 5/ Homework: (3’) - Have Ss: + Sing the Alphabe Song. + Do exercise 4/p.13(workbook) - Write assignments. OBJECTIVE: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know model of spelling letters in their names in English. II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player. III. PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES 1/ Warm-up: (8’) - Get Ss to listen “Alphabet song”, then call a student to sing again. - Lead from check-up. - Introduce the new lesson. - Listen and sing. - Answer if necessary. - Listen. 2/ Presentation: (12’) - Introduce new words. 1. New words: 1. Spell (v) : ( translation) 2. it (pro): (synonym) - Guide Ss to read the new words. - Play the tape in B4 and ask Ss to listen and repeat. - Elicit structure. 2. Structure: How do you spell your name/ it? - Ask Ss to practice reading the dialogue in pairs. - Call on some pairs to read the dialogue loudly. - Correct. - Guess the meaning of the new words. - Repeat, read in individuals. - Repeat in chorus. - Pay attention. - Work in pairs. - Read the dialogue aloud. 3/ Practice: (10’) - Ask Ss to make the small dialogue as B4 in pairs. - Call some pairs to read the dialogue loudly. - Correct the pronunciation. - Work in pairs - Practice asking and answering before class. 4/ Production: (13’) * Write it- up: (B5/ page 25) - Ask Ss to ask and answer the questions a-d. - Ask Ss to ask and answer before class. - Ask Ss to write their answers into notebooks. - Call on some Ss to write answers on the board. - Correct. - Work in pairs. - Ask and answer loudly. - Write answers down. - Write answers on the board. 5/ Homework: (2’) - Have Ss: + Remember part (B6) + Do exercise B4,6/p.13(workbook). - Write assignments.
