1. Warm - up: (5’)
Show the picture, let Ss match the questions with answer:
Is there a lake to the right of the house?
Are there tall trees to the right of the house?
Are there flowers in front of the house?

c. No, there isn’t.
2. Presentation: (15’)
- Set the scene: Hoa is talking to Minh about her house.
- Show the picture.
- Introduce some new words:
 + old (adj)
 + new (adj)
- Ask Ss to practice the new words.
- Review structure:
 Is/ Are + S + adj?
 + Yes, S + be.
 + No, S + be + not.
- Ask Ss to read the statements and predict True or False.
a) Hoa’s house is big.
b) It is old
c) There is a well.
d) There are flowers in the yard.
3. Practice: (13’)
- Play the tape for Ss 3 times.
- Ask Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs.
- Call some pairs to practice in front of class.
- Ask Ss to read the text and check their prediction.
