What are these ? 3/ New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities *Activity 1: Present the Wh -question and answer pattern: - T uses objects in class room to present. eg: T( gi¬ 1 chiÕc d©y nh¶y lªn vµ hái HS ): What’s this ? Ss: It’s a jump rope. T( gi¬ 2 chiÕc d©y lªn vµ hái HS): What are these ? Ss: They’re jump ropes - T ( ®Æt 2 chiÕc d©y ra xa chØ vµo 2 chiÕc d©y vµ hái HS ) What are those ? - Ss ( tr¶ lêi )They are jump ropes. - T guides Ss to repeat the WH- question and answer pattern several times. - T uses other cards or other objects to ask “ What are those ? ”. Ss look at the objects to answer. + Note: What are those ? T repeats plural noun and pronunciation. Activity 2: / Practice: - T devides class in to groups to practice ( using cards and subjects in class ) T asks Ss to use objects in class to practice in pairs. Activity 3:Open the book + The dilouge P6: - T asks Ss to open their books to P6 . T introduces pictures by question : “ Who’s he ?” - T opens the tape and asks Ss to listen then point to the pictures . - T opens the tape the next time . Ss listen and repeat . + Ask and answer P6 : - T introduces objects P6 then asks Ss to read the objects again. - T repeats two Wh- questions : - What are these / those? They’re yo-yos. - T guides Ss to read. - T opens the tape. T asks Ss to lis ten and point to the pictures. - T opens the tape the next time . Ss listen and repeat. - T uses the pictures on P6 and asks Ss to practice in pairs with “ What are thesse / those ? ” I/ Present the Wh -question and answer pattern: - Look, listen ,answer and copy down. . eg: What is this ? It’s a jump rope What are these ? They’re jump ropes What are those ? They’re jump ropes - Repeat - Look and answer . +Note : What are those?
