I/ Objectives:
- Knowledge: - To help students know how to ask and answer about objects , understand the difference between ' these' and 'those'
- Skills: listening , speaking .
- Grammar: - What are these/those ?
 They are ( balls ) 
II/ Teaching aids: 
-T:Textbooks,  tape player, cassette, puppets, cards, classroom objects 
- Ss: Books , note books .
III/ Activities for teaching and learning:

2/ Warm up : Slap the board

-T’s questions : + What’s this / that ?
 + Is this /that ?

 *Activity 1: Present the Wh -question and answer pattern:
-T uses an object in class room to present. 
+eg: T(cÇm 1 qu¶ bãng vµ hái): What’s this ?
 T(cÇm 2 qu¶ bãng vµ hái): What are these ?
- T uses other cards or other objects to ask “ What are these ? ”. 
-T asks Ss to repeat Wh- question and answer
+ Note: 
- What are these ?
( dïng hái tªn nhiÒu ®å ë vÞ trÝ gÇn ng­êi nãi ) 
 They’re ……
- T repeats plural noun and pronunciation.
+ Plural noun : Thªm ‘s’ vµo sau DT ®ã , mét sè tr­êng hîp kh¸c thªm ‘es’.
- Pronunciation : cã 3 c¸ch ph¸t ©m ‘s, z, iz’
- Point to the ojects from distance ( windows, doors , fans, chairs ....) to model the question (What are those?)
- Write the model+ explain ( meaning, use, intonation )
Activity 2: Practice:
* Open the book
- Play the cassette ( once )
- Play the cassette again 
- Ask and answer about pictures ( p.6 )
Picture 1-4 using question ( What are these ?)
Picture 5-8 using question ( What are those ?)
* Picture - cue drill.( stick pictures around class )
- Model with students
- Go around the class to check their work
- Call some pairs to speak out before class.
- Using students' classroom objects  to ask and answer , using both questions ( What are these / those?)
I/ Present the Wh -question and answer pattern:
- Look , listen and answer
Ss: It’s a ball

-Ss look at the objects to answer.
