I/ Objectives:
Knowledge: - To help students know how to describle the location of objects with singular nouns.
Skills: - listening , speaking

II/ Teaching aids: 
T: planing lesson, text book, cards, puppets, situation, real objects

Activity 1: Present the prepositions:
 - Use real objects ( a pen and a book)
- Place the book next to the pen. Point to them + make the statement.
The pen is next to the book. 
- Repeat the procedure for in front of and behind.
- T guides Ss read and repeat several times.
- T uses substitution drill to practice. ( gv ®Æt ®å vËt ë vÞ trÝ kh¸c nhau ®Ó luyÖn tËp )
T : Where’s the ruler ?
T: Where are the books ?
*Activity 2: Present Structure “ There is...............”:
- T ues real situation and objects to present. 
- ex: Gv ®Ó 1 quyÓn s¸ch bªn c¹nh c¸i cÆp vµ nãi “ there is a book next to the bag ” 
- T puts the bag on the table and put the notebook in front of the bag then say: “ there’s a notebook in front of the bag ”.
Activity 3 :Open the book
- T asks Ss to open their books P 24 
- T introduces pictures by questions:
 +What’s this?
 +Where is it ?
-T : There is a telephone next to the lamp ….
- T plays the tape the first time 
- T plays the tape the second time 
- T asks Ss to use the pictures P24 to practice (from P1 to P8)
Activity 4: Further practice 
- T uses real objects to asks Ss to practice.
- Gv gäi 1 sè hs lªn s©p xÕp ®å vËt sö dông giíi tõ : next to, behind, in front of.
- ex: T: ( pencil case )
+Describle the objects in the classroom
Explain how to do and model
E.g : Board, picture of Uncle Ho, table, chair……
I/ Prepositions:
- Ss repeat: next to
- Next to ( pre ) Bªn c¹nh 
- In front of ( pre ) ®»ng tr­íc
- Behind ( pre ) ®»ng sau
- repeat several times.
+ Substitution drill:
- Ss (nh×n vÞ trÝ vËt vµ nãi): It’s in front of the bag.
Ss: They are on the table
II/ Structure “ There is...............”:
- Ss repeat
“There is a book next to the bag”
- Ss repeat
“There’s a notebook in front of the bag”

III. Open the book 
- Open the book

- Lis ten and point to the pictures
