III/ Activities for teaching and learning: 1/ Settlement: 2/ Oral test : Teacher’s questions Exercises P23 3/ New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1:Present the yes/ no question and answer pattern: - T uses cards to present - ex: T uses card 179 to asks Ss: Is the bathtub in the bedroom ? - T: Is the bathtub in the bathroom ? - Use different cards to replace. - Write the model + explain ( use, meaning, intonation). - T devides class in to groups to repeat Activity 2:Practice * Picture-cue drill. - Use teacher cards ( household objects and rooms) - Run through the cues. - Model with student. * Open the book - Play the cassette ( once) - Play the cassette again. Pause after the questions so that students can guess the answer. - Play the cassette again to check. - Use pictures to ask and answer. - Call some pairs to check. Activity 3:Further practice - Ask students to draw their own house and and choose a room to draw household objects in it. Then they will tell to their friends. picture p23 ) - Read and draw This is Lan’s house. There are 3 bedrooms, a living room , a dining room , two bathrooms and a kitchen. The TV is in the living room. The stove is in the kitchen. I/ Present the yes/ no question and answer pattern: - Ss (look at card 175 ) answer: No, it isn’t - Ss : Yes, it is - Repeat in groups GA: Is the bathtub in the bathroom ? GB : Yes, it is II/ Practice: Look at the cues One good student Listen, point, repeat Listen the question and guess the answer. Listen + repeat Work in pairs III/ Further practice - Draw on the paper and tell to the friend. e.g : This is my house. This is the living room.
