Activity 1: Present the second of the dialogue: 
a. - Use the doll to display the dialogue
+ T: Put the doll on the table, take one present and say:
 Happy birthday
+ The doll: Thank you!
+ T: (give the present)
 This is for you.
+ The doll: Thank you.
 - Do again with 1 or 2 Ss
b. Do again and ask for Ss to guess the meaning of the sentence:
 This is for you
- Write on the board
- Help Ss to say correctly:
 / th/ in “this”
 /th/ in “thank”
*Activity 2: Practice:
- Ask for Ss to open the book page 38 and remark the picture 
- Play the tape (two times)
- Use the teacher cards (77- 86) to guide Ss to practise
- Listen and correct the mistakes
*Activity 3: Introduce the complete dialogue:
- Ask for Ss to open the book. Listen again the complete dialogue.
- Ask for Ss to practise the complete dialogue. T displays with one pupil.
- Guide Ss practise in pair
- Correct the mistakes
