Activity 1: Demonstrate the meaning of “can” or “can’t”
- Point to the picture in page 44, use the puppet and ask:
 Puppet: Can you play with a yo-yo? 
T: Yes, I can (say and nod the head )
T: No, I can’t (say and shake the head)
- Do again and ask for Ss to guess the meaning
- Say and write on the board : To say about the ablity, use: “can or can’t”
 Can you play with a yo-yo?
 Yes, I can
 No, I can’t
 (can’t = can not)
Activity 2: Listen and repeat 
- Ask for Ss to look at the board and read
- Ask for Ss to open the book in page 44. Look at the picture and remark
- Play the tape and ask for Ss to repeat
- Correcr the mistakes.
Activity 3: : Practice
- Divide Ss into 2 groups. T ask and ask for Ss to answer
T: Can you play with a yo-yo?
- Ask for Ss practise in pair
- Corret the mistakes.
