WARM UP ( 4ms) - Method of teaching : Communicative language teaching - T: Ask students something about the test yourself A - Ss: Answer teacher’s questions - T: Sum up and lead in the new lesson - Ss: Listen to T Questions * Have you prepared it at home? * Have you got any difficulties? B. LISTENING (9ms) ACTIVITY 1: GAP_ FILL Method of teaching : Communicative language teaching - T: Instruct the task to Ss - Ss : Listen to T - T: Play the tape one for Ss to listen and do the task - Ss: Listen and do the task, then share their answers with their partners - T: Call some Ss to give their answers. - Ss Give answers. - T: Check the answers with the whole class (play the tape for Ss to listen again, pause at the answers for them to catch) - Ss: Listen again and check. *Some strategies : + Read through the statements to understand them and underline key words + Listen to the tape and pay attention to the key words + Choose the best answer based on what they can hear Expected answer: 16 Nov 1945 193 60 Teacher-training heritage C.
