 CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
I. Revision: (5ms) 
Theory:
Type I: future possible 
 If clause	 ,	 main clause
 IF + S + V-simple present , S + WILL + V-bare Inf
	 Imperative or Request
Ex:
 1. If I have money , I will buy a new house.
 2. If the water boils , please make me a tea.
Type II: Present unreal condition 
 If clause	 ,	 main clause
 IF + S + V-past subjunctive , S + Would + V-bare 
 (simple past / tobe= WERE)
Ex:
 1. If I had money , I would buy that house.
 2. If I were you , I would win the game.
Type III: Past unreal condition 
 If clause	 ,	 main clause
 IF + S + V-past perfect , S + Would + have + P.P
Ex: 1. If I had had money , I would have bought that house.
 2. If I had played tennis , I would have won.
UNLESS = IF … NOT (tröø phi)
I’ll take the job unless the pay is too low.
(= I’ll take the job if the pay is not too low.)
Let’s have dinner out unless you are too tired.
( = Let’s have dinner out if you are not too tired.)
OMIT IF ( we use “Inversion”): SHOULD, WERE and HAD
Ex:
If she were my daughter, I would help her.
= Were she my daughter, I would help her.
If I had realized what you intended, I would have helped you.
= Had I realized what you intended, I would have helped you.
NOTE: We can’t reduce the negative forms.
 Right: Had we not changed……
 Wrong: Hadn’t we changed……
