I.The aims and objectives.

- Knowledge:

+ Vocabulary: T provides Sts with words related to school activities, subjects, what sts do at

 school.

+ Pronunciation: - Helps sts how to pronounce: / ∂u / and / ʌ/

- Skill : - Improve their listening skill, wrting skill and pronunciation.

- Living skill: Sts know more about things in English in their new school.

- Pronouce correctly the sounds /əu / and / ʌ/ in isolation and in context; Use the combinations: to study, to have, to do, to play + Noun.

+ Behaviour: To educate the students to love their school.

II. Teaching aids:

- T: Textbook, laptop, lesson plan, chalk, projector.

- St: Textbook.

1.Organisation (1’): Good morning.
How are you?/ Who’s absent today?
2.Checking up( 3’): - Write vocabulary.
- Write 10 sentences with the school things you have.
-> T gives comments and introduces the new lesson.

III. Production
Ex: We don't have music tooday.
? Look at the picture on page 8 in 20 seconds and try to remember as many words as possible.
- Teacher divides the class into two teams.
? Go to the board and write the words
- Teacher gets feedback
-> Today we are going to learn some more combinations about school.
- Teacher uses different techniques to teach vocab (situation, realia)
- Follow the seven steps of teaching vacab.
* Checking vocab: Slap the board 
? Work in pairs, putting the words in 1 into groups.
- Get feedback and explain to Ss which words go with each verb
? How many sentences are there in 3 P8
? Are they completed?
? Copy the numbers.
? Put one of the given words in each blank.
- Ask some Ss to write on the board, then check their answers.
? Write sentences about yourselves using the combinatiions above.
- Let some Ss read their sentences.
- Explain how to make the two sounds.
? Listen and repeat. Pay attentiion to the sounds /əu / and / ʌ/
- Play the tape twice
? Work individually to put the words into two groups.
? Check your answers in groups.
- Have two students write on the board.
- Correct Ss' mistakes if necessary.
? Look at part 7P8.
? Listen and repeat sentence by sentence.
? Recognize the two sounds and underline them
- Play the recording twice
?Make up sentences with the words in part 6 P8
- Look at the picture only
