I/ Objectives:
Knowledge: - By the end of lesson students are able to identify the professions using Yes or No question   .

Grammar: - Is he ( she ) a teacher ?
Yes, he/ she is
No, he/ she isn’t
II/ Teaching aids: 
T: planing lesson, text book, puppets , cards
Ss: book, note book .
III/ Activities for teaching and learning:
1/ Settlement:
2/ Warm up & review: 
- Greeting, singing the song “ What’s the matter ? “.
 -Review: Describle the occupations , using teacher cards.
1. he/ Mr. Brown/  farmer.     
2. she/ Mrs. Ha / shopkeeper
3. he/ Mr. Ba / police officer.  
4. she/Miss.Lee/  nurse

*Activity 1: Present the yes/ no question and answer pattern:
- T uses cards and puppets to present
ex: T ( dïng phiÕu 159 + rèi ) 
Puppet A: ( chØ vµo phiÕu ) Is he a cook ?
Puppet B: No, he isn’t
Puppet A: Is he a farmer ?
Puppet B: Yes, he is
- T repeats A then change role
- T devides class in to two groups A and B
-T ( dïng phiÕu 158 + rèi ) 
Puppet A: ( chØ vµo phiÕu ) Is she a teacher?
Puppet B: No, she isn’t
Puppet A: Is she a nurse ?
Puppet B: Yes, she is
- T repeats A then change role
- T devides class in to two groups A and B
*Activity 2: Practice:
- T asks Ss to uses cards to practice
- T devides class in to groups to practice
T asks Ss to practice in pairs
* Open the book. 
- Play the cassette ( once) .
- Play the cassette again. Stop after each question.
1. Is he a teacher ? Yes, he is.
2. Is she a police officer ? Yes, she is.
3. Is he a nurse ? No, he isn’t.
4. Is she a student ? No, she isn’t.
5. Is he a farmer ? Yes, he is.
6. Is he a taxi driver ? Yes, he is.
7. Is she a taxi driver ? No, he isn’t.
8. Ishe a shopkeeper ? Yes, he is.
- Using pistures to practice

- Listen , repeat and copy down

- A: Is he a farmer ?

- Ss repeat B
